THOSE WHO HARVEST
FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD
A hearty meal can do wonders for the soul, uplifting any mood, creating new friendships forming bridges between cultures, bringing people together.
Growing up I cannot recall a family gathering without a memorable bite to eat – a Sunday lunch with a wholesome roast veg, a hot-summers-day-braai with a variety of interesting salads, a Spring picnic with gourmet sandwiches or even just popping in to visit my Ouma, always having a homemade treat to share!
Food is not just linked to many blissful memories, but is a vital part of a healthy life. Having nutritiously balanced meals each day comprised of organic food, provides our bodies with the best possible foundation.
The recipes below are just some ideas inspired by our Weekly Boxes – shared with the purpose of honouring each fruit, vegetable and herb.
