HOMEMADE PEACH FROZEN YOGURT
I came across this easy frozen yogurt recipe last year, while in the midst of peach picking season – with long hot days and warm summer nights.. It can be easily adapted with just about any fruit.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches
- juice of ½ lemon
- 1 cup plain yogurt or soya yogurt
- 2 Tbsp honey or agave nectar
Method
Peel peaches using a vegetable peeler, then cut them into medium-sized chunks, removing the pips.
Pour lemon juice over cut peaches and gently mix through – this will stop the peaches from browning. Now put peaches in a freezer-friendly container and place in the freezer for a few hours or overnight.
Once peaches are frozen solid – add them into a blender and blend until creamy and smooth – this might take about 5 minutes. Now add honey or agave nectar and yogurt into the blender, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.
Pour mixture into a freezer-friendly container and freeze for 1-2 hours before enjoying!
